The Virtual St Paul’s Cathedral Project<\/strong>, together with its predecessor the Virtual Paul’s Cross Project<\/strong>, have been supported by Digital Humanities Grants <\/strong>from the National Endowment for the Humanities. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Virtual St Paul’s Cathedral Project<\/strong> has been funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities through a Digital Humanities Implementation Grant,<\/strong> awarded in 2015. The Virtual Paul’s Cross Project<\/strong> was funded by a Digital Humanities Start-Up Grant,<\/strong> awarded in 2011. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone associated with the completion of these projects is deeply grateful to the National Endowment for the Humanities<\/strong> for its support over the years, both financially and personally, through the guidance provided by members of the NEH staff. We are especially grateful to Bret Bobley,<\/strong> who serves as Director of the Office of Digital Humanities,<\/strong> and to Jason Rhody<\/strong> and Elizabeth Tran<\/strong>, who served as our Program Officers <\/strong>through the administration of these grants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are deeply grateful to the former Chair of the NEH<\/strong>, William D. Adams<\/strong>, who in 2015 was able to bring us the news in person that our DH Implementation Grant had been awarded. We are also grateful to David Price<\/strong>,  U.S. Representative for North Carolina’s 4th congressional district<\/strong>, for his long-time support for the National Endowment for the Humanities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cathedral Project has truly been an interdisciplinary undertaking, engaging faculty and administration in the humanities, in architecture, and in engineering throughout the fifteen-year history of the Project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At NC State University<\/strong>, we have been supported, in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences<\/strong>, by  Dr Jeff Braden, <\/strong>Dean of the College, by Dr. Thomas Birkland<\/strong>, Associate Dean for Research in the College, and by Dr. Antony Harrison<\/strong> and Dr. Laura Severin<\/strong>, successive Heads of the Department of English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the College of Design<\/strong>, we have been supported by Dr Mark Hoversten<\/strong>, Dean of the College of Design, and by Celen Pasalar<\/strong>, Assistant Dean for Research and Extension. In the College of Engineering, we have been supported by Dr Louis A. Martin-Vega, <\/strong>Dean, College of Engineering, by Dr John Gilligan<\/strong>, Associate Dean of Engineering, Research and Graduate Programs in the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have also been supported, in the NC State Libraries<\/strong>, by Greg Raschke<\/strong>, Senior Vice Provost and Director of Libraries, at NC State University, as well as by his predecessor Susan K. Nutter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
